Welcome to The Cornerstone Nursery — a highly regarded early years setting where children flourish, families feel supported, and learning is brought to life through inspiring experiences every day.

Our dedicated staff team thrive on creating rich, engaging environments that empower children to become confident learners who form positive relationships and develop a lifelong love of learning. Every child is valued, nurtured and encouraged to explore their world with curiosity, independence and joy.

Perfectly located for families and commuters, The Cornerstone sits just a short distance from Woodbridge station with direct links to London, close to the A12, BT offices at Martlesham and the port of Felixstowe. We provide full day care for children aged 0–5 years, all year round, and are proud of our reputation for offering an exceptional early years experience.
Children benefit from a safe, stimulating and enjoyable learning environment, enriched by our beautiful surroundings and plentiful resources. Our outdoor areas are a particular favourite — from our sensory and growing gardens, where children help cultivate produce used in our homemade meals, to the wide open spaces that encourage physical development, imagination and adventure. Every room opens directly onto our incredible gardens, ensuring seamless indoor‑outdoor learning throughout the day.

Our dedicated Pre‑school building (3–5 years) is a self‑contained space designed to mirror the routines and expectations of school life, supporting children to feel confident, capable and ready for their next steps.

Meet Our Managers And Senior Leadership Team

Guiding our nursery with experience, passion, and a commitment to excellence
At the Cornerstone Day Nursery, our managers and senior staff play a vital role in shaping the warm, nurturing environment we are so proud of. With years of experience in early years education, they lead with compassion, professionalism, and a deep understanding of what children and families need to thrive.

Our leadership team works closely with practitioners across every room, ensuring high‑quality care, inspiring learning opportunities, and a consistent approach that supports each child’s individual journey. They are dedicated to building strong relationships with families, offering guidance, reassurance, and open communication every step of the way.

From overseeing daily practice to championing creativity, safety, and emotional wellbeing, our managers and senior staff are the steady hands and caring hearts behind everything we do. Their commitment ensures that Golden Apples remains a place where children feel safe, valued, and excited to learn — and where families feel truly supported.

Mother Of Child

My 3-year-old son attends this nursery and I couldn't be happier with the care he receives. The preschool room is organised, engaging and full of fun activities that keep the children stimulated and excited to learn. It's clear that a lot of thought goes into creating an environment where the children can explore, play and develop.

The staff are cooperative, kind and very experienced, which really shows in the way they care for the children. Hayden and Liz mainly look after my son and they are both fantastic. Their handovers at the end of the day are always detailed and thorough, which I really appreciate as a parent. They are both great assets to the nursery. The rest of the staff are equally as good, and it's reassuring to know my son is surrounded by such a caring and capable team.

My son is always happy to go into nursery and often wants to stay longer when I come to collect him - which says everything about how much he enjoys being there.

Healthy Eating Programme

We promote healthy eating across all our nurseries and follow UK Early Years nutritional standards. Families may provide a packed lunch, which must meet our healthy eating guidelines, be clearly labelled, and include full allergen information. Pre‑prepared or shop‑bought lunches are NOT permitted.

We provide fresh fruit or vegetable snacks, with milk and water available throughout the day. Our nurseries also offer freshly prepared meals cooked on site by our experienced chefs, and weekly menus are available for parents to view.

For the safety of all children, we operate a STRICT NO-NUT POLICY. Please do not bring nuts or nut products onto the premises.

We work closely with families to support individual dietary needs and ensure every child enjoys safe, healthy and inclusive mealtimes.
